The 41st Perth Festival of the Arts in Scotland will take place from 17th to 27th May 2012. Tickets will go on sale on 26th March.

2012 Festival - Nigel Kennedy, Jools Holland, Carol Kidd, Tim Brooke- Taylor & more

Perth Festival of the Arts has hosted a number of big name artists in recent years including Van Morrison, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel and Nicola Benedetti. The 2012 Festival programme is no exception. World-class violinist Nigel Kennedy will play the Brahms Violin Concerto at Perth Concert Hall on Sunday 27th May with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrew Litton.

Festival has published a book about its history written by respected music critic Conrad Wilson. This is a fascinating personal account of the Festival and contains a marvellous series of photos of personalities and events over the years. The Festival would like to acknowledge the Jimmie Cairncross Charitable Trust who has generously supported the publication of the book.
