Perth Art Trail
During the weekend of 24th and 25th May,
the Art Trail brings together all the
wonderful
events and Exhibitions taking place at
Festival time. Most are within easy walking
distance of Perth City Centre. Don't miss
the free arTay art marquee at Perth Concert
Hall – see page 6 for details.
Art on the River

The River Tay provides a stunning backdrop to a
busy art and craft exhibition, with over forty stalls
selling paintings, drawings, original prints and a
selection of crafts. Take the opportunity to admire
the artists hard at work at their easels, or be a
budding Picasso and get creative at the arts and

The Perthshire Art Association Exhibition
With over 140 members, both professional and
amateur, the Association enjoys a wide diversity of
artistic talent. Classes, workshops and syllabus
evenings have a relaxed, informal approach and
new members are always welcome. The 2013
Annual Exhibition best in show and winner of the Jean Drennan
Harkess Award was Gillian Booth, with her beautiful oil painting
‘African Elephant’.

Perth Branch of Embroiderers’ Guild
Bi-annual exhibition of members’ work. The
Embroiderers’ Guild exists to promote embroidery
and textile arts in the local community and
nationally. There are friendly and informal stitching
sessions, workshops and speaker meetings, all held
in Oakbank Community Centre, and membership is
open to anyone interested in stitch and textiles.
Members will be present during the exhibition, and
there will be items for sale.

Photography on the Tay
Photographic Exhibition displaying 12 images each from the following
Tayside Photographers: Alan Brown, Jean Burhouse, Jennie French,
Karen Johnstone, Shahbaz Majeed, Malcolm McBeath, Tom Morrison,
Harry Petrie, Chas Sievewright, Michael Visocchi, David Wallace, and
Ellis Welsh. This is an open exhibition displaying images of all genres.
Most exhibits will be for sale.
