For children aged 4-8 and their families, Scottish Opera original Be A Sport, Spike! by Karen MacIver and Ross Stenhouse returns to celebrate the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Mike ‘The Spike’ McTavish is the world’s greatest sportsman. No one can run faster, jump higher, or swim further.
But there is one thing that Spike can’t do – sing! Join Spike and his friends as he starts to exercise those vocal cords and finds that a little perseverance goes a long way.
Suitable for families of all ages. Venue: St Matthew's Church Hall.
Running time approx. 30 minutes.
Seating is unreserved. All tickets are £7. No concessions or Friends discounts.
Free Children's Art Workshop at 1pm
Families can also join us for a free art workshop in the hall at 1pm. This fun, interactive session will be led by Be a Sport, Spike! illustrator, Iain Piercy, helping children create their own artwork inspired by the show. Click here to book free Child tickets.
