The New 4 Seasons, Il Giardino d'Amore

Explore the explosive diversity and joyful energy of the Four Seasons composed by Vivaldi, Piazzola and Richter, combined as one musical story with lighting, projections and costumes.

European ensemble Il Giardino d’Amore present their new programme 300 Years Anniversary of the Vivaldi 4 Seasons, celebrating 300 years since the masterwork appeared in print for the first time in Amsterdam and become one of the most popular classical pieces of all times.

Audiences are invited to explore the explosive diversity and joyful energy of the Four Seasons composed by Vivaldi, Piazzolla and Richter, combined as one musical story. In their music, we experience the diversity of cultures from Italy and Argentina to England, and three aesthetics of different time periods from Baroque to our times, played on period instruments, by heart, by Il Giardino d’Amore and Stefan Plewniak.

In this unique concert, the orchestra presents collections of clothes corresponding to Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, while lighting and projections transform the experience into musical theatre.

About the Orchestra

Il Giardino d'Amore

Il Giardino d’Amore comes from an Italian name, which literally means “Garden of Love”. The inspiration for its creation was the philosophy of the orchestra members, to gather among “the circle of friends” to share music with the feeling of deep, joyful and expressive sensitivity, compared to the secret garden, guided by love for art and love for each other. Il Giardino d’Amore was founded in 2012 and recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of development and growth.

The orchestra has a varied recording history, ranging from opera to ballet, and a catalogue of innovative collaborations from French Baroque dance to 'Baroque & Pop'.
