One of Scotland’s longest-standing independent arts festivals, Perth Festival of the Arts, is looking for a new Finance Director/ Treasurer to join its Executive Committee.
Perth Festival of the Arts is a vibrant celebration that connects leading artists from around the world with the rich cultural life of Perth. Each May, the Festival becomes the gem in Scotland’s cultural calendar. Having hosted big names including Jools Holland, Van Morrison and top international orchestras, this diverse Festival features everything from classical, rock and folk music, to comedy, dance and the visual arts.
The Treasurer is an unpaid position on the Festival’s Executive Committee and contributes to the overall governance of the charity. Responsibilities include preparation and oversight of the Festival’s accounts; development of the Festival’s financial strategy; and advising the Committee on the financial implications of plans. Working closely with the Festival Administrator, the Treasurer also supports day-to-day financial administration.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the hub of this expanding festival and to gain and share experience at Executive level within a Perth-based charity.
We would be delighted to hear from you if you have an accountancy qualification or other financial experience and an interest in supporting the arts.
For more details or to apply, please email a short CV to the Chairman, Peter Rutterford, at email@example.com. A fuller outline of the requirements of the position is available.
