Call for Community Chorus
Scots Opera Project is recruiting for a Community Chorus to star in its upcoming production The Seal-Woman at Perth Festival of the Arts this May.
Call out for Community Chorus!
Do you enjoy singing and have experience of singing in a choir? Scots Opera Project is looking for local singers (aged 18+) of all voice types to sing in a community chorus starring in a Celtic Folk Opera - The Seal-Woman - on the evenings of Sun 21 and Mon 22 May in Perth Theatre as part of Perth Festival of the Arts.
A great opportunity to star in a Celtic folk opera, learn new music (including some Gaelic!) and work with a cast of professional singers.
Singers from all disciplines are welcome - folk, musical theatre, choral, rock/pop or opera. You don't need to have any experience of being on stage and reading music is not essential. Lots of support and guidance will be given by the team.
We would especially welcome interest from Tenors and Basses, although we still have a few spots left for all voice ranges.
No auditions required. You must be able to attend four rehearsals in Perth on Sun 30 April and Sun 7 May (10am-5pm), Wed 17 May (6.30 9pm) and a dress rehearsal on Sun 21 May (2-5pm).
To register: Email Helen MacKinnon at Perth Festival on info@perthfestival.co.uk giving your name, voice type (soprano, alto, tenor or bass) and email address.
